<section id="page_038-719"><title><p>Жгенти Тенгиз Гигоевич</p></title> <p><strong>Жге'нти</strong> Тенгиз Гигоевич [15 (27).1.1887—24.5.1937], советский государственный и партийный деятель. Член Коммунистической партии с 1903. Родился в с. Дабла-Цихе, ныне Чохатаурский район Грузинской ССР, в семье обедневшего дворянина. Принимал активное участие в революционном движении крестьян в Гурии, вёл партийную работу в Батуми, Чиатуре, Кобу лети, Кутаиси. Подвергался репрессиям. После Февральской революции 1917 один из организаторов Советов солдатских депутатов в Кавказской армии. С октября 1917 член Кавказского областного комитета партии. В 1918—19 работал на Украине: член Одесского ревкома, военком и начальник гарнизона Елизаветграда (Кировоград), затем Одессы. С конца 1919 участвовал в подготовке вооруженных восстаний против мусаватистов в Азербайджане и меньшевиков в Грузии. После установления Советской власти в Грузии (1921) был секретарём Аджарского обкома партии, заведующий Истпартом ЦК КП Грузии, секретарём ЦИК Грузинской ССР. Избирался членом ЦК КП Грузии. </p>

<section id="page_038-721"><title><p>Жгут кровоостанавливающий</p></title> <p><strong>Жгут кровоостана'вливающий,</strong> эластичная резиновая трубка (тесьма, бинт, манжетка и др.), предназначенная для временной остановки <emphasis><a l:href="page_066-505">кровотечения</a></emphasis> при ранении или операции. Применяемые различные конструкции Ж. к. основаны на перетяжке конечностей. Правильно наложенный Ж. к. должен перетягивать артериальные стволы, в противном случае кровотечение усиливается из-за прекращения оттока венозной крови. Ж. к. накладывают либо на одежду, либо на прокладку из ткани (полотенце). Чем эластичнее Ж. к., тем меньше он травмирует ткани организма. Накладывают Ж. к. не более чем на 2 часа: в течение этого времени его надо 2—3 раза (зимой чаще) распускать для восстановления кровообращения (при этом артерию прижимают пальцем). </p>

<section id="page_038-724"><title><p>Жгутики</p></title> <p><strong>Жгу'тики,</strong> цитоплазматические выросты клетки, свойственные всем <emphasis><a l:href="page_038-729">жгутиковым</a>,</emphasis> многим бактериям, зооспорам и сперматозоидам растений и животных. Раньше Ж. противопоставляли <emphasis><a l:href="page_096-645">ресничкам</a>.</emphasis> Электронномикроскопические исследования показали сходство строения этих структур, различающихся лишь количеством: обычно клетка имеет один или несколько Ж. и много (до нескольких тысяч) ресничек. Поэтому термины «Ж.» и «реснички» употребляют часто как синонимы. Длина Ж. широко варьирует в разных клетках, диаметр около 0,2 <emphasis>мкм.</emphasis> Каждый Ж. представляет собой стержень, покрытый плазматической оболочкой (продолжением оболочки клетки) и состоящий из гомогенного вещества, по периферии которого располагаются 9 двойных, а в центре 2 одинарные фибриллы (толщиной 250—600 <image l:href="#i-images-103512156.png"/>) с электронно более плотной краевой и менее плотной центральной зоной; поэтому фибриллы называются микротрубочками. У основания Ж. находится <emphasis><a l:href="page_088-564">базальное тельце</a> —</emphasis> гомолог <emphasis><a l:href="page_120-635">центриоли</a>.</emphasis> Различают несколько форм движения Ж.: вращательное, в том числе и винтообразное; волнообразное — с перемещением волн от свободного конца к основанию Ж.; движение по типу гребного удара. <section id="page_038-729"><title><p>Жгутиковые</p></title> <p><strong>Жгу'тиковые,</strong> биченосцы, одноклеточные и колониальные организмы, имеющие <emphasis><a l:href="page_038-724">жгутики</a></emphasis> в качестве органов движения. Некоторые группы Ж., например эвгленовых, ботаники относят к растениям, а зоологи — к животным.</p> <p>  1) В ботанике Ж. (Flagellatae) раньше рассматривались как отдел (тип), состоящий из нескольких классов, ряд которых (Pantostomatinae, Protomastiginae и Distomatinae) не признаётся теперь растительными организмами. Остальные Ж. из-за больших биохимических и морфологических различий частично выделены в самостоятельный отдел (<emphasis><a l:href="page_125-118">эвгленовые водоросли</a></emphasis>)<emphasis>,</emphasis> частично считаются классами отдела <emphasis><a l:href="page_089-307">пирофитовых водорослей</a></emphasis> (перидинеи и криптомонады) или др. отделов (хризомонады — отдела <emphasis><a l:href="page_047-994">золотистых водорослей</a>,</emphasis> вольвоксовые — отдела <emphasis><a l:href="page_045-646">зелёных водорослей</a></emphasis>).</p> <p>  2) В зоологии Ж. (Mastigophora) — класс <emphasis><a l:href="page_093-480">простейших</a>,</emphasis> состоящий из 2 подклассов (Phytomastigina и Zoomastigina), включающих 13 отрядов (около 3000 видов). В первый подкласс входят организмы, содержащие пигменты и питающиеся в основном за счёт <emphasis><a l:href="page_117-264">фотосинтеза</a>.</emphasis> Второй подкласс объединяет <emphasis><a l:href="page_009-995">гетеротрофные организмы</a></emphasis> и организмы с <emphasis><a l:href="page_011-369">голозойным типом питания</a>.</emphasis> Среди гетеротрофных Ж. есть представители, питающиеся жидкими органическими веществами, обитающие в гниющих жидкостях или паразитирующие в крови и тканях животных и человека. Ж., питающиеся голозойно, заглатывают твёрдую пищу, главным образом бактерий и одноклеточных организмов.</p> <p>  Ж. имеют 1—8, иногда больше жгутиков, отходящих от переднего конца тела; один из жгутиков, направленный назад, иногда пристаёт к стенке тела, образуя (например, у трипаносом) изгибающуюся волнообразную перепонку. Тело одето тонкой наружной оболочкой — пелликулой, нередко сплошным хитиновым панцирем или оболочкой из клетчатковых пластинок. Ядро обычно одно, иногда ядер нескольких десятков. Для регуляции осмотического давления и выделения служат сократительные вакуоли. Ж., снабженные хроматофорами, имеют стигму (светочувствительный органоид), расположенную у основания жгутика; таким Ж. присущ положительный <emphasis><a l:href="page_117-274">фототаксис</a>.</emphasis> Размножаются Ж. чаще всего продольным делением тела надвое; многие при размножении превращаются в цисту с плотной оболочкой, после чего делятся один или несколько раз. У некоторых Ж. особи, возникшие при бесполом размножении, не расходятся, а образуют колонии. Половое размножение наблюдается редко, преимущественно у представителей подкласса фитомастигин; половой процесс включает <emphasis><a l:href="page_051-681">изогамию</a>, <a l:href="page_009-963">гетерогамию</a></emphasis> или <emphasis><a l:href="page_084-495">оогамию</a>.</emphasis> Из зиготы получается одна или несколько новых особей, иногда — целая колония.
